Jen is the Development Director at Mouse. She leads a team that connects financial and strategic partners to our mission which powers our collective impact and ensures that all youth engage with creative technology and computer science to make meaningful change in the world.
In her previous roles as Associate Director of Programs, Marketing, and Operations at Code/Interactive (the nonprofit Mouse merged with in 2018), Jen developed and managed strategic partnerships, spearheaded and grew programs, developed curriculum, trained educators, oversaw marketing strategy, and managed the operations team. She has spoken at events including a panel on computer science education at the White House.
As a lifelong creative with roots in public school teaching (history, math, and writing), Jen was inspired by the power of computer science education in underserved communities as a revolutionary tool for creativity and social justice. She holds a M.Ed. from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a B.A in American Studies from Scripps College. She is also a graduate of Fullstack Academy’s Software Engineering Immersive.
