New Design for Project Work

Reviewing and giving feedback on Project work has become more engaging. Now, when you open submitted work on Mouse Create, you can easily view the avatars for each creator and collaborator, see their text reflections, uploaded images and attachments, and--for educators--there’s easy access to the “Mark as Reviewed” button after assessing a submission.

Discussion Tab: Leave Comments and Feedback

You can also now leave comments from the discussion tab on any user’s submitted project work. The text field features icons that you can add to any comment to indicate whether yours is a question, a compliment, or new idea for another user. Use these to add color to your comments, and help others’ visually scan their feedback.

New Notifications Area

There’s also a new lightning bolt icon in your navigation. It takes you to your new notifications area, where you can review the comments and replies that members of your group have left for you.

Any time someone leaves feedback on your work, or replies to one of your comments, you’ll receive a notification. New notifications will be indicated by a little red number in the navigation. You can read and reply to comments by clicking the notification. Students will also receive notifications when their work has been reviewed by their educator, and when they have received a badge.  Educators will receive notifications every time new project work is submitted for review, and when someone new joins your group. 

The notifications page will let you see all notifications that have been left for you, or you can view only those that haven’t been read yet. When a notification has been read, it will be greyed out in your list of notifications.

 If a notification appears that has been left by your educator or group organizer, it will appear with a green tab, that indicates their role.

Educators: Send Notifications to your Group

We’ve also released a feature that lets group educators write short messages that get sent as notifications to everyone in your group.  This feature could be helpful to make announcements to your team, send reminders about completing projects in your Playlist, or just to say hi- it’s up to you! To access this feature, go to your Group page and scroll down below the Playlist to the Members area.  There you will see a small link next to the “Members” heading that says “Notifications”.
