Congratulations New Serif in Town Winners!

For March, we asked you to celebrate Pi Day by creating your own original font of numbers 1-9. This month's winners were selected by a special panel of guest judges from Google! Thank you to everyone who submitted an original font!

Our Grand Prize

Earning the MicroProject Winner Badge and a $60 gift card to Best Buy for their squad is SharkFins Font by CaitlynnK  from BSMS2 MouseSquad  in Moreno Valley, California. Sharkfins Font wins our grand prize for being an example of technical wizardry. Her font is clean and readable and one of our guest judges from Google said she could see herself using it. CaitlynnK also went above and beyond with an awesome name for the font and stylish design concept using a single "shark fin" block in Fontstruct. Sharkfins Font includes capital and lowercase letters, numbers and many symbols as well, making it a complete font. Congratulations once again to CaitlynnK and BSMS2 MouseSquad!
Check out "SharkFins Font" here.

Our First Runner Up

Our first runner up is a pair! Receiving a Papertronics Lunar Modulefor their squad are The Optimistic Font  by Ben N 822 andConstellations by ryane622  from Halsey's Mouse Squad  in Rego Park, New York. The Optimistic Font is a sleek looking font that inspires us to look on the bright side of things. Doesn't Pi look great in it? Constellations is a beautifully hand drawn font that uses "number constellations." Its design is clever and creative and the artwork clearly shows effort. Awesome work Ben N 822, ryane622 and Halsey's Mouse Squad!

Our Second Runner Up

Our second Runner Up pair (also receiving a Papertronics Lunar Module) are We Run The World by NightElfPrincess27  and the numbers of pixel by Shantal Cordero  from The Armory Foundation  in New York, New York. We Run The World carries a positive girl power message with a fun, upbeat design. The numbers of pixel was exciting to our Google judges because of its unusual design decision to put the numbers inside of frames. The design is inspired by a game that its creator enjoys playing. This wins points for most unique! Congratulations NightElfPrincess27, Shantal Cordero and the entire squad!
