Diversity in Tech Awards Celebrates Those Building A More Equitable Future

MEDIA ALERT

WHAT: This 3rd annual event illuminates the diversity gap in tech and more importantly, its solvability for leaders in technology, government, and education.

The DIV Awards will benefit Mouse and Code/Interactive, two nonprofit organizations that are committed to increasing diversity and opening opportunities for all young people to use computer science and creative technology to make meaningful change in our world.

Honorees will include:

  • Amy Kadomatsu, Co-Founder and President, ROKO Labs and Instabot
  • Kirk McDonald, Chief Marketing Officer, AT&T Advertising and Analytics
  • Youth and Educator Honorees

Janine Quijije, Mouse Deputy Executive Director, and Michael Davis, President, Associate Board, will present the honorees for this evening.

Prominent speakers will share their perspectives during the panel discussion “Building a Diverse Tech Talent Pipeline,” including:

  • Ryan Dennin, Senior Director Retail, Best Buy
  • Kelli Dragovich, SVP People Operations/HR at Hired, Inc.
  • Omari Edwards, Founder, Beak
  • Rick Gomez,  Vice President, Human Resources at AT&T Advertising & Analytics at AT&T
  • Lisa Opoku, Chief Operating Officer, Goldman Sachs Technology Division
  • Mark Anthony Thomas, Senior Vice President, Partnerships at New York City Economic Development Corporation
