Joseph H. Flom Foundation Awards Mouse $234K To Support STEM in Early Grades
We are thrilled to receive a $234,000 grant from the Joseph H. Flom Foundation to research engagement strategies for elementary STEM education. This grant-will enable Mouse to research and prototype STEM programming tailored to engage K-5 learners.
During the first year, this grant will support research to assess the needs of elementary grades and opportunities for Mouse to deepen STEM identities at younger ages. This may include new learning content, program models, platforms, and other products that help young learners apply technology in meaningful ways. In the second year, Mouse will prototype and test new approaches for supporting STEM in early grades .
We are pleased to partner on this project with The Michael Cohen Group, an independent research and evaluation group with extensive experience in education and young people’s use of media and technology.
As STEM education and 21st century skills remain core requirements for success in life and work, we deeply appreciate the support of the Joseph H. Flom Foundation in helping Mouse learn more about extending its reach to younger learners.
