Mouse Receives $280,000 in Grants!

Mouse is thrilled to announce receiving new grants from returning supporters CME Group Foundation, The Peter and Carmen Lucia Buck Foundation, The Polk Bros. Foundation, and SAP totaling $280,000!

The CME Group Foundation has awarded Mouse a $150,000 grant over the next two years, which will support Mouse programs in Chicago, including the Academy for Urban School Leadership and Chicago-based Charter schools.

This grant will also bring the Mouse Serious Games curriculum, including a Serious Games Jam, to Chicago during the upcoming school year. The CME Group Foundation has invested $500,000 in support of Mouse programs in Chicago.

The Peter and Carmen Lucia Buck (PCLB) Foundation has also continued its support of this year with a generous $50,000 grant. This grant will support New York City Schools running the Squad program. The PCLB Buck Foundation seeks to improve the quality of lives in communities by “giving motivated people the tools they need to help themselves.”

The Polk Bros. Foundation, another longtime supporter, has generously awarded Mouse $50,000 to support Mouse programming in Chicago. The Polk Bros. Foundation works with nonprofit organizations in order to improve the lives of Chicago residents by reducing the impact of poverty. Since 2008, The Polk Bros. Foundation has invested $250,000 in programs in Chicago.

For the third year, SAP has awarded $30,000 to support the Mouse Corps program for New York City students. Mouse Corps is a technology and design program that provides high school students from Mouse Squads across NYC with the opportunity to develop leadership and technical skills. Students who participate in Mouse Corps also develop professional skills through summer apprenticeships as well as career readiness workshops hosted by SAP.

We are incredibly thankful for these grants from CME Group Foundation, The PCLB Foundation, The Polk Bros. Foundation, and SAP. Their continued support will enable Mouse to provide youth across the country with amazing opportunities to learn, design and create with technology.
