Mouse Students Provide Support for Best Buy Teen Tech Centers

Through our partnership with https://corporate.bestbuy.com/community-relations-overview/, students will join Mouse’s youth technology leadership programming to provide tech support in Best Buy's Teen Tech Centers!

These unique centers will provide youth with creative hands-on learning experiences in new technologies after school. Teens will be able to explore their ideas and passions as well as build confidence and 21st century skills critical to their future.

This year, Best Buy will open Teen Tech Centers in Little Black Pearl Charter School in Chicago, Miami Science Museum in Miami, Family Service Association in San Antonio and Hennepin County Library in Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Instructors of the Teen Tech Centers were trained as Mouse Squad Coordinators, using the program to target and engage students to lead technology integration and culture at each location. The training covered a wide range of topics to assist the new Mouse Squad Coordinators including setting up a helpdesk, recruiting students and Mouse Squad membership, projects, managing their squads and more.

Internationally acclaimed Intel Computer Clubhouse Network, an organization with a 20-year track record for significant impact on more than 50,000 teens has partnered with Best Buy to manage each tech center.

The new tech centers will provide an invaluable opportunity to introduce our Mouse Squad program to new districts and inspire more youth to be the next generation of leaders in technology and innovation!
