NYC Council Member Koppell Visits Mouse Students at In-Tech Academy

“I am very proud of this school and especially proud of all of you,” stated Council Member Koppell as he met with the Mouse students at In-Tech Academy in the Bronx.

Council Member Koppell and Eleanor Edelstein, Education Liaison, visited the Mouse students at In-Tech to learn more about the valued tech support role they play as well as the opportunities they have to learn about new technologies and explore the professional world.

Many of the students shared their experiences with Mouse, handling technical issues at school, learning robotics and also providing tech guidance outside school for their families. Several Mouse Corps students also described the apps they are designing for the visually impaired and the afterschool shadowships in which they have recently participated.

Principal Allen described the importance of recruiting students for the Mouse Squad that are responsible, have integrity and will work well as part of a team. She also mentioned that several of their previous Mouse students are currently studying computer science in college.

Our very sincere thanks to Council Member Koppell for his very generous support of Mouse and the use of technology throughout the schools in his district!
