What's new at Mouse?
Mouse Squad's New Branding
After several months of dreaming, research, planning and design, Mouse will be launching a new brand (logo, colors and message) in October. But we wanted to give Mouse Squads a sneak peak at the new look now, at the start of the school year.
We've swapped out our old yellow, black and blue for a bolder red, green and blue palette (or "RGB" for graphic design geeks). Don't worry, the rest of the website is the same, it just has a fresh coat of paint. There's lots of spots on our site where you'll still see the older colors. We will continue making updates over the year but, if you notice any problems please let us know at help@mousesquad.org
Mouse Squad Network Support Team
We have an updated team to help out all of our Coordinators and Students across the Mouse Squad network this year! Meet Chelien, Patrick and Rachel who will be working with Mouse Squads on getting started, answering questions, and achieving new amazing goals! You can reach out to Patrick (patrick@mouse.org) at any time with questions (or pictures of your newest project!), and we will be there to get you the info you need.
New Web Making Activities: Privacy & Security
We are very excited to announce the launch of eight new Web Maker activities as part of our Mouse Squad Certification Badge! Generous funding from Symantec helped us to create a whole new set of activities to help young digital users and makers explore the issues of online privacy, security and citizenship. The activities cover topics like: creating secure passwords, understanding who is collecting your data and why, leaving an online legacy to be proud of, what Terms of Service agreements are all about, and more! As always, the activities are active, engaging and remixable to suit your Squad’s needs and interests! Get a closer look at these and the rest of our Web Maker activities on mousesquad.org!
