Youth To Receive Awards for Completing Mouse Circuitry and Electronics Course at New Jersey Libraries
WHAT:
Students from grades 4 through 10 will be recognized for completing the first “Circuitry and Electronics” course at the Bloomingdale and Butler Public Libraries in New Jersey. This course offered on the online learning platform from Mouse, a youth development nonprofit that empowers students to create with technology and make meaningful change in our world.
At this ceremony, youth will receive Award Certificates to recognize the new skills they have developed building circuits and learning how electronic components come together to make technologies work. This afterschool program is part of the STEM Science Learning Series initiated and delivered by the SciencEd Foundation.
The Mouse program at Butler Public Library was generously supported by Tri-State Ford through their commitment to invest in the next generation of technology leaders and support STEM programs and curriculum at local and national levels.
“Circuitry and Electronics” is one of several courses offered on Mouse Create, a learning platform designed for young people to build the skills they need to apply design and technology creatively to the world around them. The Butler Public Library will be offering the Mouse “Green Tech” course to teens this winter.
