Earthling Music Mouse Microproject
Imagine you’re having a conversation with an alien, a being with no knowledge of what Earth, or humans, or even human language are. How would you describe what it’s like to live on our planet? Or what it’s like to be you? Some scientists, being the curious thinkers they are, imagined that somewhere out in the endless cosmos, there may be intelligent life that could one day intercept some of the machines we’ve sent into space. In the late 70’s, two spacecrafts were each sent from our planet bearing a message from those scientists: a gold plated record filled with pictures, sounds and music from Earth. Their hope was that if any intelligent extraterrestrial life ever were to find these spacecrafts, then the music and other info on the records would teach those beings a bit about the culture and lives of the human beings who made them. This month, we want you to create some music of your own that could teach any curious life out there what it’s like to be you.
Your challenge this month is to make a song that represents what life is like on Earth using Soundation!
Find the Earthling Music project in the project finder and follow the instructions. Then upload a zip file of your new song as file evidence on Mouse Create and submit this project to your educator!
