We are excited to announce an update to the project interface on Mouse Create! We now have over 140 projects on Mouse Create and learners around the country are using them to design, make, and learn new things every day. We want to make sure that Mouse Create is easy to use, and we hope this project interface update makes the site better than ever.

The new interface for viewing a step by step project on Mouse Create will make it easier to:

• Review the Lesson Plan (formerly ‘Project Background’) for a project before working on it with learners
• Add additional creators to your project work
• See which steps have tasks that require you to upload your work
• Go or link directly to a specific step in a project
• See which step of the project you are currently on
• Review your uploaded work before submitting it

Requirements on Evidence

We have also updated the interface for viewing or reviewing submitted project work. From now on, any work submitted on Mouse Create will also show the Required Tasks associated with the project when it was submitted, along with the uploaded work.

Navigating with Tabs

The Lesson Plan (formerly ‘Project Background’) and Project Work (formerly ‘Review & Submit’) are no longer buried at the bottom of the list of steps. Now, each area has its own tab to help you get where you want to more quickly.

All text on project steps is now larger and easier to read (especially on projectors or TVs). Now, you will only be asked to add a response on steps that have required tasks. These steps are indicated in the list of the project steps.

Adding Creators

We have redesigned the creators interface to make it easier to see who you are adding as a co-creator, especially using touch screen devices.

Submit Work

You can still upload work at any time from the Submit Work tab. This tab also shows all the work you have uploaded on any step, as well as all required tasks so you can easily check to make sure you have responded to all requirements before submitting. The Submit Work tab also shows you which other group members you have tagged as creators on the project, and makes it easy to add more creators at any time.
