During March, Mouse staff members Naomi and Patrick returned to Chicago to lead professional development workshops for Mouse educators and to visit our amazing Mouse students in schools across Chicago!

Mouse held workshops for Chicago educators that featured activities from four different areas of Mouse curriculum: Webmaker, Green Tech, Serious Games, and Garage Robotics. Each workshop session included opportunities for educators to playtest activities and brainstorm how to implement each activity in their schools. 

After two days of professional development workshops, Naomi and Patrick visited seven Mouse schools across Chicago and led students through hands-on workshops on game design and web making tools. Additionally, Mouse staff welcomed new Chicago Mouse schools with orientation visits.

Mouse staff are excited to return this May for the first ever Chicago Game Jam, where youth will have the opportunity to play games, learn the principles of good game design, and create games with some of the best game designers in Chicago! See pictures from this Game Jam at this link.
