Mouse Proud to be Advisor on NSF Digital Badge Research Grant to EDC

Mouse is thrilled to have been selected as an Advisor in a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant awarded to the Education Development Center (EDC) in collaboration with Mozilla Hive Learning Network NYC, and DigitalMe. This grant is part of a new NSF Initiative, Science Learning+, bringing together researchers in the U.S. and U.K. to understand and improve informal science learning.

Through this grant, Mouse will participate in the development of new research around digital badging systems and their impact on how providing informal STEM learning activities for young people contribute to their academic and career achievements.

NSF has previously provided funding for the Mouse Green Tech curriculum, which which mobilizes students to become energy activists for their schools. Students who complete our GreenTech program receive the GreenTech Badge.

We are honored to participate in this project with The Center for Children and Technology at EDC, Hive NYC and DigitalMe in the UK, and are grateful for the role we play in forwarding the mission and goals of the National Science Foundation.
