Daniel A. Rabuzzi has been appointed to be the next Executive Director of MOUSE, a national nonprofit organization that empowers and inspires underserved youth with technology. Rabuzzi will assume the role on February 4th, and succeeds Carole Wacey who served as Executive Director of MOUSE since 2003 and has recently joined WNET as Vice President of Education.
“We are thrilled that Daniel will be leading MOUSE at this very exciting time in our growth,” stated Brian J. Miller, Chairman, MOUSE Board of Directors. “Daniel has a wealth of experience and a clear vision to bring MOUSE and its high impact programs to tens of thousands more underserved youth across the country.”
Rabuzzi has dedicated much of his professional career to improving the lives of underserved youth and has a track record of successful expansion and innovation. As Senior Director, Operations & Strategy, Year Up New York, he led the expansion of programming to Brooklyn, impacting significantly more students, and worked closely with the national office, Board and sites across the country to ensure future growth and successful outcomes for more youth.
Previously, Rabuzzi served as National Program Director for The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship. In this role, Rabuzzi managed curriculum development, teacher training and expansion of their program office and alumni network. During his tenure, NFTE tripled the number of learners served, doubled annual budget and staff, opened four new offices and expanded curricular offerings.
“MOUSE is a pioneering social enterprise and leader in the effort to close the digital divide,” stated Daniel Rabuzzi. “I am thrilled to lead the team as MOUSE continues its national expansion.”
Rabuzzi was CEO of the Kentucky Virtual Campus, one of the first public sector online schools created to bring web-based services to the least advantaged citizens. He also brings experience from the banking industry, having served as Vice President at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company.
