Climate Game Jam - Water!
Attention all aspiring game designers: the Climate Game Jam is coming soon! Young game creators from across the country will be competing for national recognition and a chance for their game to be showcased at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History! Want in on the action? All you need to do is create a game about our climate that focuses on the theme "water."
All experience levels are welcome. There are so many different categories to compete in! You can remix a Scratch game, build a game in Gamestar Mechanic or Unity, create a paper prototype, design a board or card game, and more! Sites across the country will be helping makers create their games and then film a two minute video pitching it - you only need to submit your two minute video to be considered for the showcase, not the actual game! Stay tuned to the Wire or climategamejam.org to find a site near you.
Earlier this Fall two students from Halsey's Mouse Squad came in second place in the K-8 division for their Scratch game "Energy Farmer." This time it could be you!
We will be running a Climate Game Jam station at Mouse Maker Saturday on April 16th! Sign up here!
Coordinators who are interested in running a site for the Climate Game Jam can submit your site here.
