CME Group Foundation Awards $200,000 Grant to Mouse
Mouse greatly appreciates receiving a $200,000 grant from the CME Group Foundation to grow the impact of its programs for underserved youth in Chicago. This grant will extend Mouse programs in Chicago schools to include 10 new public charter schools during each of the next two school years.
CME Group Foundation’s mission is to enhance economic opportunity by supporting academic initiatives and activities, primarily in the Chicago region, that:
- promote research, teaching and learning in financial markets, futures and derivatives
- promote the education of disadvantaged children and youth, and
- promote the health and education of young children
Since 2008, the CME Group Foundation has contributed $350,000 to Mouse.
”CME Group Foundation believes that all students deserve the chance to succeed in college and career. In our increasingly global economy, technology and leadership skills are key to being college and career ready,” said Kassie Davis, Executive Director, CME Group Foundation. “We think Mouse can help Chicago students achieve those important skills.”
This grant will allow Mouse to provide underserved youth with opportunities to enhance their technology and 21st century skills, and to introduce them to career opportunities in which they can use their innovative technical skills in real-world situations.
Our thanks to the CME Group Foundation for partnering with Mouse to create opportunities to introduce Mouse to the growing charter school community in Chicago and supporting our efforts to prepare students for their future academic and professional success.
