For April, we asked you to celebrate Earth Day by creating  an animated GIF to honor our amazing planet. We received GIFs that were exciting, creative and reminded us of how lucky we are to call this planet our home. Thank you to everyone who submitted an animated GIF!

Our Grand Prize

Earning the MicroProject Winner Badge and a $60 gift card to Best Buy for their squad is It's Up to Us to Save the Earth!!  by karen826  from Halsey's Mouse Squad  in Rego Park, New York. Her GIF shows high levels of skill, effort, and attention to detail. The frames change seamlessly thanks to karen826's expert use of at least three separate programs and photography to create this wonderful finished product. Our First Runner Up

Our first runner up and a Papertronics Lunar Module goes to the entire Squad at P.S. 139 (Q139)  in Rego Park, New York! This squad submitted a ton of great projects, but our favorites are The brown kiwi  by 317ashley , Trees are important  by 323veronica  and Dylans Earth day  by 321dylan . All three touched on different ways to protect our environment from saving endangered creatures to chopping down fewer trees and recycling waste properly. We especially liked the research that 321dylan and 317ashley put into their GIFS and 323veronica wrote about the many jobs that trees perform on our planet. Awesome work 323veronica, 321dylan, 317ashley and P.S. 139!

Our Second Runner Up

Our second Runner Up (also receiving a Papertronics Lunar Module) is gifing tree micro project  by MentallyDisturbedLlama  from SCS Mouse Squad  in Canton, Michigan. This GIF entry was done expertly well. The animation is smooth and just plain fun to look at! This GIF reminds us that even though flowers and trees are pretty commonplace, we shouldn't forget how magical they are and how lucky we are to be able to enjoy them. Congratulations MentallyDisturbedLlama and the entire squad!
