Marc Lesser, Mouse Education Director, Recognized as NSBA “20 to Watch” Leader in Education Technology!

Mouse is incredibly proud to announce that Marc Lesser, Education Director, is one of the National School Board Association’s (NSBA) “20 to Watch” Leaders Advancing Education Technology for 2011-2012!

The NSBA “20 to Watch” recognizes educators who are passionate about how technology can transform teaching and inspire others to use technology in creative, innovative ways to enhance learning. These honorees are leaders within the education technology community who will “help shape the world of education technology for the next 20 years.”

Since Marc joined the team at Mouse four years ago, he has made a tremendous impact on our youth development programming. Marc engages and inspires students to be leaders, innovators, creators, makers and thinkers, and is recognized as a visionary leader within the ed tech community.

Marc has spearheaded Emoti-con!, the NYC Youth Digital Media and Technology Challenge and played an active role in the development of digital badges to recognize student’s skills and knowledge. He is a founding member of the NYC Hive Learning Network and a close adviser to the Mozilla Foundation.
Marc is a wonderful role model for our team at Mouse and inspires us with his creativity, passion and dedication to the youth we serve.

We are also thrilled to share that Jeannette Gautier-Downes, Instruction Technology Professional Developer at P.S. 811 in New York was another of the “20 to Watch” honorees. Jeanette has provided a 1:1 technology program for students with autism, and coordinates the Mouse Squad program at P.S. 811.
