March Mouse MicroProject Winners
This month, we asked you to explore the boundaries of storytelling and create an animated GIF story using MouseBot characters. We were impressed by how dazzling your GIF submissions turned out and the thorough descriptions you each wrote to describe the whole GIF-making process. Thank you for such fun submissions!
Grand Prize
Winning our Grand Prize are 325AunyaneeP, 321EmmaJ and 321ArslanA, all from P.S. 139. 325AunyaneeP’s GIF told a story about a frustrated gamer who gets great advice from a friend. We liked how relatable the challenge and resolution both were.
321EmmaJ’s submission is one of the most stylish looking we received! The problem and resolution are short and sweet and we really felt as though a lot of effort went into making the animation as crisp as possible.
Finally, 321ArslanA’s project had so many great details to liven the story up! We loved the birds that added to the overall scenic background and 321ArslanA’s addition of facial features like eyes and a mouth on the MouseBot characters really helped to portray their emotions more clearly.
Fantastic job, 325AunyaneeP, 321EmmaJ, 321ArslanA, and the whole group at P.S. 139!
Runner Up
Our 1st Runner up is Panda789 at South Canton Scholars Charter Academy. Panda789’s GIF submission perfectly depicts two of our MouseBot characters going on an adventure. We think this would work great as a thumbnail above a Project on Mouse Create. Great work, Panda789!
Our 2nd Runner up is alejandrag at JHS217 Robert Van Wyck. alejandrag’s submission focuses on two of our MouseBot characters, who alejandrag calls Anne and Jamie, as they overcome their fear of Grumpy Cat and become great friends. We like the feeling of bravery that this GIF inspires and of course, Grumpy Cat’s great too. Excellent work, alejandrag!
