Mouse Receives Nearly $500K in New Grants

Mouse is honored to receive generous grants from our new partner Capital One and longtime supporters The New York City Council, Polk Bros. Foundation and SAP.

The NYC Council has generously awarded $391,500 this school year for Mouse programs across the city, with tremendous support from City Council Speaker Melissa-Mark Viverito. This funding will bring hands-on, STEM education programming and opportunities to create with technology and make a positive impact in their schools and communities.

Additionally, Council Members Ben Kallos, Debi Rose, and Helen Rosenthal have each awarded Mouse $20,000 through the Digital Inclusion and Literacy Initiative, created to address the disparities in access to the internet and increase digital literacy across the city.

Mouse is honored to further our partnerships with The Polk Bros. Foundation and SAP. Thanks to a $50,000 grant from the Polk Bros. Foundation, Mouse will continue to bring STEM programs to youth in Chicago Schools. With the support of Polk Bros. funding, Mouse and Hive Chicago hosted the first ever Chicago Game Jam in 2015.

SAP has generously awarded $27,500 for our Mouse Design League program, through which students research, brainstorm, prototype, and present a technology project that addresses a social need. SAP also hosts Career Readiness workshops to better prepare Mouse students for college and career success.
Mouse is thrilled to welcome Capital One as a new partner, with their $25,000 grant in support of the 8th Annual Emoti-Con NYC Youth Digital Media and Technology Challenge.

We deeply appreciate the support of The New York City Council, Polk Bros. Foundation, SAP, and Capital One. Through this funding, Mouse will continue to bring opportunities to create technology with purpose to youth across the country.
