Mouse Training Sessions in Chicago!

In the first week of February 2014, Mouse was excited to once again return to Chicago with our new partner Academy for Urban School Leadership (AUSL), long time supporters CME Group Foundation, Polk Bros. Foundation, Chicago Public Schools and our Charter Network partners to offer local training opportunities to educators and students in Chicago!

It was an exciting three days, starting with two educator-only trainings taking place at AUSL's National Teacher Academy on February 4. Mouse Squad and TechCrew Coordinators from schools across the city met up to network, swap stories and successes, playtest activities from the Mouse  Squad website, learn about new tools and content from Mouse, and map out the Spring 2014 semester for their Squads.

Over the next two days, Mouse Membership Manager Naomi Solomon and Training Specialists Patrick Weaver and Sam Zelitch led a series of on-site trainings for a total of seven schools, including one-on-one training sessions for teachers who couldn't make it to the workshops at the National Teachers Academy, and hands-on circuitry and game design workshops for students!

We were thrilled to have many new Chicago schools participate in these workshops along with some of our long standing schools, including Eli Whitney Elementary School, which was recognized as Mouse Squad of the Year in 2013!

Thanks for a great week, Chicago!
