Mouse is excited to announce a brand new media literacy and production course available on Mouse Create: Video Creator. In this age of Photoshop, social networks, and the spread of fake news, visual literacy is more important than ever.

Mouse’s Video Creator course aims to equip students with the basic skills and insights needed to navigate today’s multimedia landscape with tools they already have on hand. Using just mobile devices, basic cameras, and free, simple editing tools, students will get hands-on practice with shot composition, storyboarding, recording good-quality sound, and combining multimedia assets together to create visual stories.

Even more exciting? The 5 available projects under the Video Creator’s Visual Stories badge are only the beginning! Over the course of the coming year, Mouse plans to add new projects to the course to help level up youth media-making and interpretation skills.
