Reaffirming our Core Values
by Daniel Rabuzzi
In the wake of last week's presidential election, Mouse reaffirms our core values, principles, and unwavering dedication to our mission. Mouse was founded almost twenty years ago to help close the opportunity divide as it relates to access and creating with the latest technologies.
We proudly serve all learners and educators, most especially those from the least resourced communities in our country. We will continue to embrace and celebrate inclusivity in all its definitions.
In this, we are very proudly American: "E pluribus unum."
Equally American is our devotion to the freedom of expression, a right particularly vital at this time for the educators and young learners we serve. Many of them are from communities -- whether defined by race, class, gender, religion, place of origin, sexual orientation -- which have historically in this country not been allowed to define and express themselves. We at Mouse will always stand with these individuals and these communities, as they exercise one of the most fundamental American rights.
We are heartened by the exuberant strength and warm ecumenical spirit of the community within which we serve.
