Celebrating Earth Day with STEM and Making for Good
At Spring Maker Day, NYC youth, Mouse staff, and volunteers came together in celebration of Earth Day and to learn how technology can create meaningful change in our world! Maker Day is an open event which gives young people the opportunity to explore STEM and gain hands-on experience with new technologies.
Youth learned how to use everyday materials to build batteries, wind turbines, and even water filters. Maker Day attendees also created art inspired by nature by using technologies such as graphic design, virtual reality, LEDs, and sewable tech.
