Harvard Curriculum inspired new Mouse Create Scratch Creative Computing Course
Mouse is proud to introduce the new Scratch Creative Computing course on Mouse Create featuring 21 projects that help students program their own stories, games, and animations. All projects in this course are adapted from the Creative Computing Curriculum written by the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
The Scratch Creative Computing course is suitable for all learners new to computer science to promote student agency and creativity while learning new concepts. The course focuses on skills that learners will need to engage in creative computing and design their own programs on Scratch, the most popular educational programming platform in the world. With Scratch, students can easily create projects like animations, stories, and games, then share them with an online community.
The course is intended to teach key computational thinking concepts (sequence, loops, parallelism, events, conditionals, operators, data) and practices (experimenting and iterating, testing and debugging, reusing and remixing, abstraction and modularization).
The Scratch Creative Computing course is available in all Mouse Create memberships. Click here to learn more and sign up for Mouse Create today!
