In Memoriam: Raymond J. Mikovits
We mourn the passing of our friend and passionate advocate, Raymond (Ray) J. Mikovits. Ray’s profound generosity of spirit and commitment to closing the equity gap in technology education was admired by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
Through his leadership at Ernst and Young’s (EY) Hoboken office, Ray was a tireless advocate for Mouse - directing both corporate donations and leading EY’s corporate volunteer efforts. Ray’s commitment to engaging his team around key volunteer opportunities like EY Volunteer day with Mouse -- demonstrated his dedication to youth programs that teach critical tech skills and allow students to interact with professionals who mentored and inspired Hoboken-area youth.
Adon Davis, Mouse Board member and Senior Manager at EY reminisced on Ray’s passing. “As head of the Hoboken office, Ray had a big heart and was a big advocate for community involvement and for Mouse in particular. He will be missed by the EY community and beyond.”
On behalf of all of us at Mouse, we extend our condolences to Ray’s family and friends. He will be deeply missed – by all of us at Mouse, his community and all who had the great fortune of having Ray as a friend.
