Makers Greened this Spring Maker Day!
On Saturday April 21st, makers of all ages came to Mouse HQ to take part in the Mouse Earth Maker Day Celebration! Maker Day is the big sister to Mouse Maker Nights and this one featured many green themed activities as a celebration for Earth Day 2018!
Volunteers from Mouse Design League, BrainPOP, Solar One, and American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) led awesome activities and spread their green knowledge!

Attendees had their choice of cool projects, including:
- Creating Virtual Reality environments
- Sewing LED Flowers
- Turbine Building (from our Green Tech course!)
- Building Batteries from common materials (Thank you Solar1!)
- Creating new species of insect-bot and place them in the insect-bot land for it to spin around freely using a small battery-powered vibration motor
- Making their own Water Filter (Thank you ASLA!)
- Designing a pixelated environment for animals using Piskel (from our November Microproject!)
- Constructing their own Scratch project featuring greening tips about Recycling, Water Pollution, and Solar Energy (Thank you BrainPOP!)
- Exploring solutions to a mysterious problem using Recycled parts
