On Friday, October 13th, more than 50 educators and staff gathered at the 2017 Mouse Create Conference at the Microsoft Technology Center. This full day of professional development featured hands-on workshops led by Mouse staff as well as opportunities to brainstorm and collaborate with Mouse educators!

The day opened with an introduction from Mouse Learning Design Manager Alex Fleming on the importance of technology with purpose, making, and having a national network of like minded educators. Mouse then showcased new features and courses including Sewable Tech, Digital Portfolios, the Project Gallery, and more.

During lunch, educators had the opportunity win raffle prizes by networking with each other. An additional raffle gave away three gift cards of $100 or more after the afternoon session of workshops.

Attendees played the Found Object Game from Mouse’s Serious Games course, creating games out of random materials in less than 10 minutes! Everyone got a chance to play each other’s games as well!

Over the course of the day educators participated in Mouse workshops focused on topics from an introduction to new educators on the Mouse Create platform to deep dives into our newest courses. These workshops were an opportunity to experience Mouse's fun tech-based projects, first hand.
