May 30th is the first-ever #ProofPointDay, created by Pahara-Aspen Education Fellow Chastity Lord, who is also Chief External Officer for Achievement First.

On this day, the goal is for large numbers of first generation college graduates (FGs) and future FGs to wear green as a way to inspire those who have not yet begun their collegiate journey or who do not realize such a goal is attainable.

As Lord says: "I imagine that every May 30th, communities across our country where college graduation is not an expectation are surrounded by thousands of visible and vocal#proofpoint FGs and allies - creating a new narrative about what is possible."

Her vision resonates strongly for those of us who work at MOUSE, and for the learners and educators we serve. I encourage us all to promote #ProofPointDay and applaud the FGs and future FGs we may meet on May 30th.
