For the upcoming Microproject, we challenge you to remix our Invention Idea Generator to create your own million dollar ideas!

In this microproject, we’re going to make playing with code as easy as filling in the blanks! Introducing the Invention idea Generator, a simple idea-making web app that you can remix and make your own! With the click of a button, the Invention Idea Generator randomly generates a new ‘million-dollar idea’ by using JavaScript to randomly choose words from a series of lists. In this activity, you will use simple code to customize the lists to create your own unique idea generator. But why stop there? Using very little coding, this project will show you how to create any kind of generator you can think of!

Your challenge is to remix the code of a JavaScript-powered Idea Generator to create your own random generator!

Find the Spring Microproject on Mouse Create and follow the steps to create random invention ideas. When you are done, share the link to your own custom generator and submit the project to your group. Don’t forget to enter the raffle on the last step for a chance to win a $25 gift card!

About Microprojects

Microprojects are bite-sized challenges for students to get creative with free web tools and media technology. Mouse will release new Microprojects throughout the school year that cover a wide range of topics and skills.

How to Enter the Microproject Raffle:

• Complete the Microproject challenge on Mouse Create
• Enter your information on the Raffle form (linked on the last step of the Microproject).
• You can only enter the raffle once per Microproject.

The raffle winner will be chosen at random at the end of each challenge. Before they are announced, Mouse will confirm that the student submitted their work correctly (and thoughtfully) on Mouse Create.
